Where Excellence Defines Every Bengal
Iconicats is a small, ethical Bengal cattery based in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex. We specialise in raising exceptional kittens with outstanding health, confident temperaments, and beautifully defined rosettes.
Since beginning our breeding journey in 2017, we have remained dedicated to producing Bengals of true quality, where beauty, temperament, and wellbeing are in perfect balance.
Every kitten we welcome into the world is nurtured with intention, integrity, and genuine affection, ensuring they leave us not just as pets, but as cherished companions.
Our Philosophy
At Iconicats, our approach to breeding is rooted in responsibility and respect for the breed. The health, wellbeing, and happiness of our cats are always our highest priorities.
Each kitten is lovingly raised within our home, surrounded by warmth, early socialisation, and attentive care. This foundation allows them to develop into affectionate, confident, and well-balanced companions.
We are devoted to preserving the beauty of the Bengal through refined features, luminous coats, and striking rosettes, while never compromising on temperament or welfare.
Our Story
Growing up, dogs were always part of my life. While I loved them dearly, I had always hoped to one day have a cat of my own. Unfortunately, due to my mother’s allergy, that dream had to be put on hold.
At 23, I moved from Scotland to London into a flat that finally welcomed cats. It felt like the right time, and I soon adopted a sweet little moggy named Buttons. He was a wonderful companion, but I quickly discovered that I had inherited my mother’s allergy and reacted quite severely to him.
Although it was a difficult decision, a close friend was able to offer Buttons a loving forever home. While I was reassured he was well cared for, my home felt noticeably empty without a cat.
Determined to find a solution, I began researching breeds often described as “hypoallergenic.” While no cat is completely allergy-free, Bengal cats are known to be one of the more suitable breeds for those with sensitivities.
In 2017, I came across a Bengal breeder who was closing down and seeking to rehome a beautiful female along with her two three-week-old kittens. I welcomed them into my home and named the mother Miley.
What began as a leap of faith soon grew into a true passion. Raising Miley and her kittens was both a joy and a responsibility that deepened my admiration for the breed.
Over time, this passion developed into a dedicated and carefully considered breeding programme, focused on health, temperament, and the distinctive beauty of the Bengal cat. Although Miley is now retired, her legacy continues through her daughter, Amber, who plays a central role in our breeding lines and has produced several exceptional litters.
Today, our commitment remains rooted in providing well-socialised, healthy, and lovingly raised Bengal kittens, each given the very best start in life.
Our Ethical Breeding Programme
Our breeding programme is thoughtfully developed to celebrate the Bengal’s natural beauty in a way that feels true to the breed.
Every cat in our programme is an important part of our journey. Many have impressive championship bloodlines, but just as importantly, they have lovely, well-balanced temperaments. The kittens they produce are not only stunning, but also confident, affectionate, and full of personality, the kind of cats that quickly become part of the family.
We focus exclusively on producing Bengals with beautiful rosetted patterns, rather than marbled or sparbled coats. We are also very proud to have a stunning variety of Bengal colours in our program:
Our Queens
Our queens are the jewels of our cattery—elegant, expressive, and each one unforgettable in her own way:
The Kings
These handsome kings bring strength, structure, and undeniable charisma to our program:
These magnificent studs are proudly owned by SuperNovaKatz, a highly regarded, ethical TICA-registered cattery. Together, we share a commitment to producing Bengals of exceptional beauty, health, and quality.
